| Abducted girl recovered, accused held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, May 23: A girl, who was alleged to have been abducted by a youth from Darhal in Rajouri a few days back, was today recovered from Bhatindi where the accused had kept her in captivity.
Police raided the Bhatindi house in which Shabnam (16), daughter of Mohammad Bashir of Darhal, was and recovered her, according to police sources.
Her alleged abductor, whom sources identified as Mohammad Farooq, son of Mohammad Fazal of Darhal, was also in the room at the time of police raid and arrested.
The Darhal police, where a case was registered in this connection, had been contacted by Bhatindi police and informed of Farooq's arrest and recovery of the girl, the sources added. |
