| Sammelan of the Mahajan Biradari held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, may 24: Dina Nath Mahajan President, Kailash Kumar Langer Gen. Secretary Akhil Bharatiya Mahajan Shiromani Sabha , accompanied by Rajinder Motial former Gen. Secretary ABMSS.. Yash Paul Gupta former president and Om Prakash Mahajan vice president, Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha & Ram Murti Mahajan President , Rajiv Mahajan Secretary, Satish Mahajan and along with other senior members of Chandigarh Mahajan Sabha attended the grand sammelan of the Mahajan Biradari held at Shimla.
Dina Nath Mahajan President ABMSS was the chief Guest and given a rousing reception on his arrival at the venue of function which was packed to its capacity by the members and their families of the entire Himachal Pradesh.
Harishchand Gupta Gen. Secretary of Shimla Mahajan Sabha in his welcome address introduced the guests to the audience and presented the details of their activities of development and unity of the Biradari.
In the function some cultural items including folk songs were presented, which were highly appreciated by the audience. The Guests and senior citizens were honoured by presenting the garlands, Himachal caps and shawls.
The meritorious students were presented with mementoes by the Chief Guests.
In his speech Dina Nath Mahajan called upon the members of biradari to shun the ills of society and work unitedly for the help of needy and persons in distress. He emphasised the need to uphold the human values.
He also announced the enhancement of widow pension from Rs. 300 per month to Rs. 500 per month.
