| Central team reviews functioning of TE | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar, May 24 (KNS): A team of Officers from Union Ministry of Labour and Employment today reviewed the present status of various Centrally Sponsored Schemes under implementation in the State at a meeting of officers of Technical Education.
The team comprised Director General, Employment & Training/Joint Secretary, Sharda Prasad, Directors, R L Sing and Dinesh Nijhawan.
The team got the first hand appraisal of the schemes including Craftsman Training Scheme, CSS-Modernization & Strengthening of Existing ITIs under Prime Minister’s Reconstruction Programme, Vocational Training Improvement Project, Up-gradation of 1396 ITIs through Public Private Partnership & Skill Development of 8000 Youths of the State.
A power point presentation was presented by Commissioner Secretary, Technical Education and Youth Services & Sports B A Runyal, and Director Technical Education Saurabh Bhagat.
The team appreciated the work done by department of Technical Education and urged for effective implementation of SDYJK scheme in the state
