| 5-wkt win for YCC Bhaderwah in Pran Malhotra Cricket | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 24: Sailing on superb performance from siblings of Sameer Malik and Tauqeer Malik, Youth Cricket Club (YCC) Bhaderwah registered five wickets win over GGM Science College in a low scoring game in the ongoing Second Prof Pran Nath Malhotra Memorial Cricket Tournament, organised by JKCA at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here today.
Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, GGM Science College team bundled-out for a partly total of 113 runs in 34.5 overs of the 50 overs game. Rahul was the top scorer with 33 runs coming off 34 balls with the help of six fours. Amit, Ahatsham and Ankush contributed 17, 16 and 15 runs to the total respectively. From YCC, Tauqeer Malik, Anjeet Kotwal and Jamshed Sheikh shared two wickets each.
YCC Bhaderwah, in reply chased the target easily in 19.1 overs losing five wickets, thereby won the match by five wickets. Sameer Malik made quick-fire 33 runs in 24 deliveries including six delectable boundaries. Aabid contributed useful 26 runs in 21 balls with four hits to the fence, while Tauqeer made handsome 23 runs hitting four boundaries.
Koushal, Amit and Virtul claimed one wicket each from Science College.
Today’s match was officiated by Sadiq Hussain Malik and Sham Singh as umpires while Raghav Verma was scorer.
