| Doda Cricket: Tariq guides Prince Club to narrow win | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 24:
Taking six wickets for just 15 runs, Tariq today helped Prince Club Bhaderwah register a narrow six wicket win over Young Star Doda in the ongoing Doda District Cricket Tournament, organized by JKCA at PG College Bhaderwah, today.
After winning the toss and decided to bat first, Prince Club Bhaderwah made 115 runs in 20.3 overs with Yaseen (35) and Firdous (19) being the main contributors. Adil was the pick of the bowlers, who took three wickets for Young Star Doda for 13 runs in his spell of four overs.
In reply, Young Star, lost wickets at regular intervals resulting into the whole side bundled-out for 105 runs in 17.2 overs. Arif was highest scorer with 17 runs off 13 balls including two boundaries. Tariq was wrecker-in-chief for Prince Club Bhaderwah, who claimed six important wickets, while Yaseen captured three wickets by giving away 21 runs in his quota of six overs. Tariq was adjudged man of the match for his brilliant bowling performance. The match was officiated by Arfan and Arif as umpires while Rasid Nazir was the scorer.
