SASB denies presence of Vohra during Agnivesh’s lecture | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, May 24: Reacting to recent reports appearing in a section of the print media, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board and the Principal Secretary to Governor R.K.Goyal stated that Governor N.N.Vohra had attended inaugural session of International Peace Conference on May 16, 2011, which was organized by J&K Peace Foundation. Board has said that among a large number of other invitees, inaugural session was attended by Swami Agnivesh who did not express any views on the Shri Amarnathji Yatra in the presence of the Governor, who is also the Chairman of the Shrine Board. It has maintained that there was no reason for Chairman to react in any manner to reported statement by Swami Agnivesh. He said that Governor was concerned about the malicious intentions with which certain elements were seeking to spread disaffection among the people. CEO further stated that officials of the shrine board, under the overall guidance of the Chairman, have continued to remain engaged for the past several months in the preparation for the ensuing Yatra and making all possible efforts for providing Yatris a safe and secure pilgrimage to the Holy Shrine of Shri Amarnath.
