Vohra lays stress on career counselling | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, May 24: Governor N. N. Vohra has emphasized need for providing career counselling to students at various stages, enabling them to opt for those disciplines having employment potential. Governor was interacting with a deputation of M. Ed. students of Kashmir University, who are pursuing their studies under the Distance Education mode via the Jammu Centre of this University. Vohra observed that the students need to be most carefully guided to opt for such courses which offer reasonably sufficient avenues of employment both presently and in the coming years. Deputationists demanded, interalia, in the memorandum submitted to the Governor that their M. Ed. examinations should be conducted at Srinagar and they should not be compelled to travel to Jammu for this purpose. Governor, who is also the Chancellor of the University, gave a patient hearing to the students and assured that their demand shall be urgently dealt with by the University.
