Land grabbers told to vacate state land voluntarily or face consequences | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 24:-Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Raman Bhalla has asked the habitual encroachers to vacate the government land adding that government has constituted a special squad having representatives from Police department for vacation of state land from illegal occupants. He said that strict action under law would be taken to deal with those who would create problems in the government’s drive. Minister was interacting with locals during his visit to 12-kanal state land in II Extension Gandhi Nagar identified for construction of recreational park, here today. Minister of State for R&B, Floriculture and Health Javed Dar, besides other senior officers of Floriculture, Revenue, R&B, PHE and R&B accompanied the Minister. Bhalla said henceforth the government land would be used for building social infrastructure, including construction of offices, tube wells, roads, schools, parks, parking slots, cremation grounds etc. He asked the land grabbers to vacate state land voluntarily, otherwise be ready to face action. He said it is the duty of every citizen to cooperate with the Government in making the Jammu and Kashmir a model State adding that several mega projects formulated for the benefit of general masses across the State are in pipeline. Responding to the demand of locals of II Extension, Gandhi Nagar, Bhalla informed that a detailed project report costing Rs. 1 crore for covering of 100 meter local nallah has been submitted under ADB loan-2 to Economic Reconstruction Agency adding that after completing tender formalities, the work on the project would be started .
