| Minister orders action against 7 absentees of CAPD | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 24: Minister of State for PDD Shabir Khan today ordered action, as warranted under law, against seven officials of Assistant Director Trade and Stores’ Office and Central Store Office Chatha for remaining illegally absent from duty.
Shabir, during a surprise visit to these office found Assistant Accounts Officer, Jagdish Chander, Accountant, Bushan Dass, Junior Assistant, Gharu Ram, Junior Assistant, Rajesh Gupta, Orderly Des Raj, of Assistant Director, Trade and Stores’ Office Warehouse and Junior Assistants, Kulbir Singh and Ashok Kumar of Central Store Office Chatha found absent from their duties without any formal leave.
During the inspection, Minister also found that there was neither attendance nor official record maintained at two offices. It was also noticed that no administrative inspection of the offices has been conducted since long, as no record of physical verifications of store and office was found. Minister also listened to problems of labourers and issued on spot directions to concerned to overcome these problems.
Taking strict note of the mismanagement, Minister ordered action against the delinquent officials as warranted under law. Shabir also issued directions for maintenance of the official decorum i.e. timely arrival and departure. Directions regarding timely dispatch of food grain to the far flung areas, up keep the physical conditions of the stores were also issued by the minister.
