POONCH, May 24: Election material was distributed among the Presiding Officers of Surankote and Bufliaz in CD blocks of Poonch district today under 11th phase of Panchayat election.
Earlier, all presiding and polling officers were imparted necessary polling training by Master Trainer, Deepak Sharma, a lecturer. Assistant Commissioner Development, Tehsildar, Haveli, Block Development Officer, Poonch and other concerned were present on the occasion.
As many as 51476 voters of Surankote and 30044 voters of Bufliaz CD block will exercise their right of franchise and there are 39 sarpanch and 320 panch halqas in Surankote and 22 sarpanch and 158 panch constituencies in Bufliaz CD block.
District and tehsil administration have made elaborate arrangements for smooth, free and fair conduct of panchayat election in both the blocks besides adequate security, transport and other arrangements have been finalized.
