Court denies bail to wife for `killing’ husband

Jammu, May-24 (JNF):- Second Additional Sessions Judge Jammu Vinod Chatterji Koul today dismissed the bail application of Gulshan Begum who is facing trial along with others for murder of her husband.
In the objections filed by Additional Public Prosecutor KA Qazi opposed the bail on the ground that husband of the petitioner was got killed by accused wife inhuman and submitted that she is having illicit relations with accused Rajinder Kumar and in order to get ride of her husband who was an obstacle in illicit relations with Rajinder Kumar, hatched conspiracy with her brother and accused Rajinder Kumar and got her husband killed. It is further submitted by APP that nature of allegations and way in which the deceased was got killed do not warrant exercise of discretion in favour of accused Ghulshan Begum w/o deceased. It is further submitted by APP KA Qazi that accused had an eye on the property of the deceased and after getting eliminated her husband she wanted to take away the property.
The court while dismissing the bail application observed that Court is of the opinion that discretion has sought by accused Gulshan Begum cannot be exercise at this stage in her favour in view of the nature of allegations. The accused Gulshan Begum is involved in the murder of Husband for which she conspired with her brother and accused Rajinder Kumar with whom she was having illicit relations. Her husband was serving in army and she was residing in the house of said accused and during her stay it is alleged that she developed illicit relations with him and all these allegations do not at this stage warrant exercise of discretion in her favour. With these observations Court dismissed the bail application of the accused. JNFJNF/MAY/24/2011/1
