| Imam among two abducted’ | | |
Srinagar, Nov 21
Two persons have been picked up by armed men, allegedly belonging to Special Operation Group of police from different places of the valley since last Night. The whereabouts of the abducted persons was yet to be ascertained.
Sources told News Agency of Kashmir that one Private School teacher and Imam of Masjid Jalal Mohalla Srinagar was allegedly picked during the intervening night of November 20 and 21 by SOG Cargo from his residence at Saoura of up town area.
According to the family members a group of SOG Cargo knocked at their door at about mid night and took the Imam forcibly with them.
Sources said that the family members approached the SOG in the morning to secure the release of the Imam, but they denied of having arrested the lateral. The family members, however, say that there is every possibility that the abducted person has been killed by the SOG.
Another person identified as Mohammad Amin Wani son of Subhan Wani Bandipora was also picked up by SOG. However, his family members also alleged that the police was denying his arrest for some unknown reasons.
