| Entrepreneurship development workshop organized | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 24: A one day Entrepreneurship Development workshop was organized by Department of Commerce of Government Degree College ( Boys) Udhampur in association with Entrepreneurship Development Institute, Jammu in the college Conference Hall.
Principal of the college Professor (Dr.) Nutan Kumar Resutra inaugurated the workshop. In his inaugural address he said that training independent entrepreneurs is the need of the hour. “It shall help addressing the problem of unemployment by generating employment and contributing towards the economic growth of the nation. For this we need people who are willing to explore and venture new areas and ways of wealth generation”, he added.
Vishal Ray from the J&K Entrepreneurship Development Institute was the resource person. He deliberated upon importance of entrepreneurship development and its role in eliminating poverty by creating opportunities of success.
“In entrepreneurship development a viable business idea is more important than finance,” he said.
He also gave details of financial assistance to various groups i.e. 3lacs for undergraduates, 5lacs for simple graduates, 7.5 lacs for professional and technical graduates and 10 lacs for group initiatives, along with 35% subsidy and 65% assistance@ 9% interest.
