Jammu's BSF Camps on LeT, HM target | High alert sounded on LoC, IG BSF convenes meeting of officers | | Amit Sharma EARLY TIMES REPORT RAJOURI, May 24: Lashkar-i-Toiba and Hizbul Mujahideen outfits are planning attacks on Border Security Force camps in some parts of Jammu as at least 300 militants want to sneak into the state . This was disclosed by Inspector General Border Security Force Jammu region S Chatopadyay while addressing press conference here at BSF Command Headquarter Rajouri. The IG sounded alarm saying that HM and LeT terrorists are planning to targets BSF camps in Jammu. "The security in the region has been beefed up especially around the BSF camps", he said. He said the threat is not being taken lightly and BSF has made all strategies to counter any terrorist attack. "We are well prepared to retaliate and if attacked they will be given befitting reply", he said. The IG who is here to review the situation after Home Ministry sounded red alert convened meeting of BSF officers at Rajouri and passed on directions to remain vigilant in order to tackle any situation in the area. He said that red alert has also been sounded on the borders and BSF Jawan are already to tackle any situation. Meanwhile the IG said that there are about 300 militants waiting on borders to sneak into Indian territory . He said that there is lot of pressure from Pakistan side on the militants and they are trying to sneak border to save their skin but BSF is ready to kill them. "Pak forces have build pressure on militants after Osama Bin Laden killing on May 2 and militants are in search of safe exit but BSF is already to push them back or kill them on the LoC if they tried to sneak into this side", he added. |
