No chance for militants to slip as forces laid strong cordon | Massive search operation in Bafliaz | | Early Times Report RAJOURI, May 24: Following killing of one LeT militant in Baflias forest area of Surankote tehsil of Poonch, Police, army and CRPF has launched massive search operations in the area to trace out two more militants who continued to retaliate firing till Tuesday Morning. Sources said that although firing has been stopped at 8 am, forces have still no clue about the actual location of militants in the forests but they have cordoned the whole area and there are less chances of the militants to slip from this strong cordon. It is pertinent to mention here that a Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militant Sohail Chota Uzefa was killed while two others were trapped, one of them in an injured condition, after an encounter started in the area last evening. Sources said that on the inputs, Army, police and CRPF encircled a hideout of the militants and challenged them but they opened fire. In the retaliatory action, one militant was eliminated while two of them continued to fight till this morning. Police said that following the militants stopped firing, a massive search operation has been launched to trace out the militants. Although police and para military forces have not get any idea till now about the presence of militants, the operation was not concluded as the last reports came in. Sources said that these militants belong to the same group who were trapped by the forces in Dogrian area on May 8, 2011. One among them has also died due to drowning in Bafliaz Nallah whose dead body was recovered by police from Bafliaz bridge few days ago. |
