| 70.61 % polling recorded in 10 CD blocks | | Panchayat Elections 11th phase | | early times report
SRINAGAR, MAY 25- The 11th phase of Panchayat Elections-2011 concluded peacefully with large number of people exercising their right of franchise to elect 343 Sarpanches and 2515 Panches in 10 CD blocks of the state.
The Election was held in 38 Sarpanch Constituencies and 327 Panch Constituencies in CD block Zaingeer district Baramulla, 50 Sarpanch Constituencies and 379 Panch Constituencies in CD block Bandipora district Bandipora, 45 Sarpanch Constituencies and 331 Panch Constituencies in CD Block Pulwama district Pulwama, 30 Sarpanch Constituencies and 212 Panch Constituencies in CD Block Qazigund district Anantnag, 27 Sarpanch Constituencies and 170 Panch Constituencies in CD Block Drabshalla district Kishtwar, 22 Sarpanch Constituencies and 132 Panch Constituencies in CD Block Marmat district Doda, 38 Sarpanch Constituencies and 252 Panch Constituencies in CD Block Ramsoo district Ramban, 32 Sarpanch Constituencies and 234 Panch Constituencies in CD Block Bhalwal district Jammu, 39 Sarpanch Constituencies and 320 Panch Constituencies in CD Block Surankote district Poonch and 22 Sarpanch Constituencies and 158 Panch Constituencies in CD Block Bafliaz district Poonch.
The poll percentage remained 28.80 % in Zaingeer, 71 % in Bandipora, 52 % in Pulwama, 82 % in Qazigund, 76 % in Drabshalla, 84.43 % in Marmat, 74.22 % in Ramsoo, 86.45 % in Bhalwal, 82 % in Surankote and 81.50 % in Bafliaz with an overall percentage of 70.61 in all these blocks.
