Bhalla inspects dev works at Trikuta Nagar, Bazigar Basti | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, MAY 25- Reiterating Government’s determination of providing better basic amenities to the people of the State, Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Mr. Raman Bhalla has said that several revolutionary initiatives have been taken in every sector like R&B, PHE, Education, Health, Power and Revenue departments for extending improved services in all the three regions of the State. This was stated by the Minister after inspecting the work on multipurpose community hall at Bazigar Basti in Bahu Fort, coming up at an estimated cost of Rs. 27 lakh. Mr. Bhalla said the hall would be dedicated to Bahu Fort people in first week of the June this year and instructions were issued to executing agency to complete all the allied works by the end of this month. The Minister assured the people that all their genuine demands and development needs would be fulfilled in a phased manner adding that there is no constraint of funds in providing adequate basic amenities like adequate drinking water, electricity, road connectivity, hospitals, education besides better lanes and drains to the people across the State. Responding to locals demand, the Minister asked the Jammu Municipal Corporation engineers to prepare the estimates for construction of two public conveniences, one at Government Higher Secondary School, Bahu Fort and another near newly constructed Multipurpose Community Hall, Bazigar Basti in Bahu Fort and submit the same for funding so that the construction of both the projects could be started. Mr. Bhalla asked the R&B authorities to prepare the detailed project report on widening of Bahu Fort-Government Higher Secondary School, Bahu Fort link road, and submit the same for funding so that the work could be started for the convenience of the visiting pilgrims. The Minister also visited the residence of Sumitra Devi W/O Late Sh. Gyan Chand R/O Bazigar Basti of Bahu Fort, whose son was drowned in river Tawi, to hand over Rs. 15000/- cheque as financial assistance. On the occasion, the Secretary Red Cross Society, Mr. Satesh Sharma was also present. At Trikuta Nagar Sector-1A South Extension, the Minister inaugurated the mecademisation works of 9 lanes for which Government has earmarked Rs. 9. 5 lakh. He asked the concerned department to challan those people who unnecessary damaged the public property.
