| Rajni adjudges best in debate | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
UDHAMPUR, MAY 25- Tehsil Information Centre, Ramnagar organized a debate contest on the Topic “Television: A friend or foe” at Government High School, Sunetar Ramnagar.
As many as, 15 students of the host school participated in the contest and put their views on the topic and most of them argued for the judicious use of the television for their knowledge and entertainment.
Headmaster, Mr. Jeevan Kumar was the chief guest of the occasion.
Miss Rajni Sharma of 9th class adjudged first while Miss Preeti Sharma of 10th class and Mr. Kewal Kumar stood 2nd and 3rd respectively in the debate contest. Mr Rahul Sharma and Mr. Atish Kumar were awarded with consolation prize in the contest.
While speaking on the occasion headmaster appreciated the efforts of Information Department for holding such contest in the rural areas.
During the contest, Mr. Ashok Kumar, Mrs Satya Sharma and Rupsee Gupta were acted as judges while Mr. Subhash chander conducted the proceeding of the programme.
The Information Department distributed prizes and certificates among the participants of the contest.
