Newly elected Sarpanches, Panches from Billawar join PDP

Jammu, May 25: Expressing faith in the policies and programmes of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), a large number of newly elected Sarpanches and Panches from Billawar assembly segment joined PDP.
Newly elected Sarpanches and Panches joined PDP in the presence of party president Mehbooba Mufti wherein general secretary of the party Thakur Balbir Singh was also present.
Welcoming newly elected Panchayat members in the party, PDP chief said that overwhelming response to the PDP in the on-going Panchayat elections is a clear indication of the growing popularity of the party among all sections of the society.
She said that PDP has performed excellent in very nook and corner of the State in the on-going Panchayat elections.
She further said that Panchayat results also indicate that people are fed up with mis-governance of the present National Conference led regime.
Newly elected Panchayat members said that they have decided to join PDP due to the policies and programmes of the party.
They said that Mufti Mohammad Sayeed as Chief Minister of the State has not only set an example of good governance he has also carved out a path of equitable development in the State.
They said that during the regime of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed special attentions were paid towards backward areas of the State.
Prominent among those who joined PDP included Akhter Ali, Sarpanch Pallan, Jatinder Singh Sarpanch Lower Bhaddu Dadwara, Mohinder Singh Sarpanch Bather, Ajeet Singh Sarpanch Makwal and Romesh Kumar Sarpanch Kasher. Sarpanches were also joined by large number of Panches.
Newly elected Panchyat members also highlighted problems of their respective areas. PDP leaders assured them that they would effectively take up their issues on appropriate forms for earlier redresssal.
