| Two Patwaris among 3 Revenue officials suspended | | | Srinagar, Nov 21 Two Pathwaris and a Qanoongow have been placed under suspension on charges of illegally transferring the property rights of a woman to some other person by making fraudulent insertions in relevant revenue records in Pulwama district. Sources while disclosing this to KNS revealed that in a written complaint addressed to Deputy Commissioner Pulwama two weeks back, one Rafiqa D/O Ama Bhat R/o Mandak Pulwama alleged that two Pathwaris and a Qanoongow changed the ownership rights of her property to some else by making fraudulent insertions in the relevant records. Taking cognizance of the complaint, Deputy ordered an inquiry and appointed Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) the inquiry officer. In the inquiry report submitted by Assistant Commissioner Pulwama, the Inquiry Officer, to Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, it has been stated that fraudulent insertions have been made by Pathwari Halqa Trich Nazir Ahmed Wani, former Pathwari Halqa Trich Ab Rashid Wani and Qanoongow Gh Mohd Sheikh to change the ownership rights of the property of above named complainant. After going through the findings of inquiry report, Deputy Commissioner Pulwama ordered suspension of all the three revenue official and attached them with the office of Assistant Commissioner (Revenue). The Deputy Commissioner has also asked the inquiry officer to submit a find report within 15 days in this connection. Allegations of corruption are galore against all the three revenue official and possibility of a more stern action against them is not ruled out. It is in place to mention here that district administration has suspended forty officials on charges of dereliction of duty during past one month.
