| 'Job cards being misued' | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 25: A meeting of all J&K movement for peace and justice was held at Joura under the Charimanship of Kuldeep Kumar Rao . In the meting the members of the block Thathri were elected which included Anil Kumar (Chairman Block Thathri), Ramthulla Batt (vice chairman), Ashok Kumar (president), Bisher Ahmed Batt ( vice president),Subash Chander (general secretary ), Surjeet Singh (secretary). Whereas Kulwant Singh, Nazir Ahmed Shekh and Neenam Din were elected as the members.
Further in the meeting some problems like irregularities committed in the construction of school buildings of Boys middle school Joura Kalan and that of Middle School Kunthal ( ST population) were discussed .
The members alleged that the school building were constructed from sub standard material and there is every possibility that building may collapse any time during the rainy season. The photos of the damaged building of boys Middle school Joura Kalan were also shown in the meeting.
Even the members alleged that in the villages like Budhi, Joura and Kunthal there has been a gross violation of norms regarding providing of jobs through job cards. In some families almost all members have been benefited with out doing any work, while from other comparatively poorer families not even a single person has been provided the opportunity to earn.
The members requested the concerned authorities to mmediately constitute a committee and enquire into the matter.
