| Burnoti villagers held protest against PHE department | | |  Early Times Report
KATHUA, May 25: The villagers of village Nanan of block Burnoti held protest against the Public Health Engineering Department Kathua under leadership of Sarpanch Sashibala for not providing the water to the villagers for the last more than 22 days.
Sashibala said that no official responsible body was present in the office when the protesting people approached the office to lodge their complaint regarding the lack of water.
She accused the PHE department for putting thousands of villagers in worse condition in summer due the improper and absence of water supply in routine manner.
The several villagers accompanied the sarpanch and said that due to the lack of water supply in the village the people are suffering from so many problems.
The resented people approached the DC Kathua who heard the deputation patiently and gave the full assurance to the villagers to sort out the water problem within one day.
Sashibala also along with entire villagers warned the PHE department that if the problem is not solved shorthy, people would go on protest.
