| Speaker's mother-in-law passes away | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
SRINAGAR,MAY 25: Speaker of Legislative Assembly Mohammad Akbar Lone's mother-in-law passed away today after brief illness at her home in Sumbal this evening.
People from all walks of life have expressed their grief on her demise. She was a pious and god-fearing lady devoted to five times prayers. A number of Ministers, legislators, religious leaders, social activists, mediapersons, members of Bar and judiciary, government officials and businessmen have conveyed condolences to the Speaker and his family. Rasm-e-Chahrum would be observed at Mr Lone's residential village of Nayidkhai in Sumbal Sonawari on Saturday May 28th.
Lone, who was in Jammu in connection with an official meeting and inspection of the progress on new Legislative Complex, would be returning by helicopter in the morning on Thursday. He is scheduled to attend condolence meetings at Nayidkhai, Sumbal for the next three days. |
