| Petrol pump installation: Doda ADC's NoC challenged | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 26:
A no-objection certificate (NoC) issued by additional deputy commissioner (ADC), Doda, about the installation of a petrol pump on the main Doda city road has been challenged by a local in the high court.Mirza Mohammad Iqbal Beigh moved court against the ADC's NoC as the proposed petrol pump site was located near his house on the main Doda city road.
Justice JP Singh issued notice returnable within three weeks and directed registry to list the case immediately after the summer vacation.
The court also directed Doda district magistrate to inspect the site where the petrol pump was intended to be installed and submit report to it, indicating the distance of the protected area from the petitioner’s house.
The court also directed the parties to maintain status-quo till next date of hearing.
