EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 26: Chief judicial magistrate (CJM) M S Parihar today denied the bail to Mangal Singh who was alleged to committed rape on a minor girl.
According to the police report, victim's father lodged a written report with Narwal police post on April 28 this year, alleging that Mangal Singh had raped his minor daughter when she was all alone in
house on April 27.He said in his report that at the time of the alleged incident, he and his wife were in their field. The accused was then arrested and booked under section 376 of RPC.The CJM observed that the allegation against the accused was serious and heinous in nature and the offence allegedly committed
by him under 376 of RPC was against the society at large. He said the court was of the view that if the accused was released on bail, there was every apprehension that he would influence the prosecution witnesses, including the prosecutrix, and tamper with
the prosecution evidence. With these observations, the court dismissed bail application of the accused.
