| Biodiversity Conservation programme concludes | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 26: Students and staff of Model Middle School (Attach Diet) Reasi organised National Awareness Programme at school premises.
Vinay Lata (Principal) DIET Reasi was chief guest on the occasion and Hameda Parveen presided over the programme. The programme was organized in collaboration with WWF India state chapter Jammu and sponsored by Ministry of Environment and Forest under National Environment Awareness Campaign 2010-11. Under the theme Bio Domestic Diversity Conservation various events were held like painting competitions, slogan writing, plantation, rally, demonstration and botanical garden.
In painting competition Bharat Bhushan, Abhinandan and Vijay Kumar stood first, second and third respectively.
In slogan writing competition Zakar Hussain, Rohit Raj, Shamsher Ali stood first, second and third.
In the rally about 100 students, teachers participated.
The chief guest while speaking on the occasion highlighted the importance of environment education in the school and reminded that the student are the best instruments for making change in the environment conservation.
