| Country Observing “Qaumi Ekta Week” | | |

In order to foster the spirit of patriotism and national integration “Qaumi Ekta Week” is being observed throughout the country from 19th to 25th November 2006.
Meetings, Symposia and seminars are being held to emphasize the themes of secularism, anti-communalism and non-violence. Special literary functions and Kavi Sammelans will also be organized during the week to appreciate the linguistic heritage of the country.
The event will start with the observance of “National Integration Day” on 19th November. The “Welfare of Minorities Day” will be observed on 20th November and “Linguistic Harmony Day” will be held on 21st November. On 22nd November “Weaker Section Day” will be observed while as “Cultural Unity Day”, “Women’s Day” and “Conservation Day” would be observed on 23rd, 24th and 25th November respectively. |
