AISF dharna enters 2nd day

Doda, May 27: Struggling for their long pending genuine demands, the students of Doda under the banner of All India Students Federation (AISF) dharna enter 2nd consecutive day at Old Bus Stand Doda here today. The dharna was led by its district president AISF Mukesh Parihar. The federation is demanding early start of Satellite Campus of University of Jammu at Doda, Polytechnic College, PG Classes at GDC Doda, Boys and Girls Hostel and introduction of commerce and geography subjects in GDC Doda.
They alleged that state Govt. is ignoring the students of Doda keeping them to bask in sun and is also playing with their future, said Mukesh Kumar.
Meanwhile various social leaders of Doda including Bar Association President Adv. Gh. Hassan Patigaroo, chairman Helping Hand Najeeb-ur-Rehman Fani, ex. Councilor MC Doda Nuzhat Iqbal and president Pensioners Association District Doda Akhtar Hussain Gattu interacted with the protesting students and assured them that they will highlight the issue with the higher authorities for early redressal.
It is important to mention here that earlier before this AISF held 48 hours Hunger Strike for their demands and lifted the same with the assurance by MLA Doda Majid Wani.
They appealed the state Govt. and concerned authorities to look into the matter personally to conceded the demands at an earlier before they should adopt the path of agitation and hunger strike for which the Govt. should be the responsible. However Doda Students Welfare Organization (DSWO) has also extended their full support with the protesting students.
