JU conducts entrance test for admission to Mater degree cources | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 27: In order to execute its resolve to provide education of high standards and quality, the University of Jammu is conducting Jammu University Entrance Test (JUET:2011) for the first time for admission to forty two Master’s Degree Programmes and Diploma Courses offered across Jammu University Campus, Offsite Campuses and affiliated colleges of the University w.e.f. May 26, 2011.
On the close of the second day of JUET:2011, the entrance test in disciplines of Zoology, Urdu, Physics and Dogri were conducted in the nine designated Examination Centres across the State of Jammu and Kashmir including Srinagar, Leh, Bhaderwah, Rajouri, Poonch, Udhampur, Reasi, Kathua and Jammu. In Zoology 1687 candidates appeared while in Urdu 366 candidates appeared. Further, 747 candidates appeared in Physics while in Dogri 83 candidates appeared in different Centres.
Earlier, JUET: 2011 began on May 26, 2011. On the first day, entrance test in disciplines of Sociology, M.Lib, Music and Bio-Chemistry were conducted. Further, 852 candidates appeared in Sociology, 54 candidates in M.Lib, 35 candidates in Music and 86 candidates in Bio-Chemistry.
The nine observers at the Centres are: Prof. Dhian Singh (Leh), Dr. S. K. Pandita (Srinagar), Prof. Desh Bandhu (Bhaderwah), Prof. Naresh Padha (Udhampur), Prof. Sukhchain Singh (Reasi), Prof. Ashok Aima (Kathua), Prof. J. S. Tara (Poonch), Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba (Rajouri) and Prof. J. P. S. Joorel and Prof. Dipanker Sen Gupta (Jammu).
Further, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Varun Sahni visited Udhampur Centre at Govt. Degree College, Udhampur on May 26 and Government Women College Parade, Jammu today to personally inspect the conduct of the Examination.
