| Postal dept launches pre-paid parcel boxes | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 27:
To facilitate the smooth delivery of packaged items, the postal department officially started the Flat Rate Parcel Boxes (Air –Domestic) service in J&K Circle here today.
The service is domestic was launched by Chief Master General, J&K Circle, in a simple but impressive ceremony held at Mubarak Mandi post office.The parcel boxes are pre-paid and affixed with postal stamps according to different weight categories.
The pre-paid boxes can carry items weighing 1 kg, 2.5 kgs and 5 kgs and they are designed in three separate sizes as per the weight of the materials.With the launching of this service in J&K circle, the customers can also track the delivery of their parcels online.It is to mention here that this service was already in use in other parts of the country and J&K as well, however, its official launching was held today.
