| Training workshop for Laboratory Assistants concludes | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 27:
A three day training programme/workshop for Laboratory Assistants concluded here today at SRML Higher Secondary School.
The workshop, which began on May 25, was organised by Science wing of State Institute of Education, Jammu.
In the Workshop Laboratory Assistants from Samba and Jammu districts were invited. 51 Laboratory Assistants against the target of 50 attended the workshop/training programme which was coordinated by Namarta Khajuria Research Officer, SIE while Jagdish Raj Sharma, Pritam Singh and Rajinder Kumar Khajuria all research officers of SIE, Jammu acted as Resource persons.
Surinder Kumar Gupta, Archana Khanna Research Officer and Ashok Kumar and Sat Pal, of Educational technology Cell, and Mohd Shafiq Laboratory Assistant SIE, Jammu and Akash Khajuria Computer Cell assisted the Resource Persons in different areas to make the workshop a big success.
G. A. Qureshi Director School Education Jammu was the Chief Guest on the Valedictory function.
Nirupa Rai while welcoming the Chief Guest gave a brief account of activities taken up in this workshop.
Participants wanted that such programmes should be organized more frequently and with a longer duration. While interacting with the participants Director School Education Jammu G A Qureshi impressed upon the participants to carry forward the knowledge gained through this workshop and use the same in actual situation while performing practical in the laboratory.
