| Div Com inspects ongoing NBCC works in Jammu city | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, MAY 28 - Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Dr Pawan Kotwal convened a high level officers meeting here today to review the progress of all ongoing development works being executed by the NBCC and UEED in Jammu city.
During the meeting, Dr Kotwal called upon the officers to work with greater zeal and dedication so that the ongoing development works being taken in hand by the NBCC and UEED in Jammu city should be completed within stipulated period. He asked the officers to visit the sites where the development works are going on by NBCC to make sure that these works are being done with better quality and quantity as well.
Assistant General Manager, NBCC, Mr Sodhi Lal apprised the Divisional Commissioner about the various ongoing development works taken in hand by the agency. He said that at present the works are going on 450 meter long stretch from JP Chowk to Jewal Chowk, ½ km stretch from Radio Station to Police Chowki Panjtirthi while NBCC works in Sector A-1 Rehari, Amphalla Sector, B-1 Dogra Hall, Karan Nagar, Kacchi Chowani Sector, 1-B Dalpattian Mohalla and Hari Market are in full swing.
The Divisional Commissioner asked NBCC and UEED to further improve their pace of progress on these vital works in the city and complete the same before the rainy season to avoid any inconvenience to the people.
On the occasion, MLA, Mr Ashok Khajuria, was also present on the occasion.
The Divisional Commissioner along with officers inspected the ongoing NBCC works being executed in Jammu city.
Among others, Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, Mr Sanjeev Verma, Commissioner, JMC, Mr Satish Swahney, SE PWD (R&B), Mr Kulbushan Sharma, SE UEED, Mr Prem Nath, Xens PHE, SP Traffic, SP Jammu City and other senior officers attended the meeting.
