| MLC Ravinder seeks measures to improve power scenario | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 28:
Member Legislative Council Ravinder Sharma- General Secretary & Spokesperson Pradesh Congress Committee has drawn the attention of the government towards acute power crisis in Nowshera, Sunderbani and Kalakote area of district Rajouri as the people are facing great hardships. In a statement, Sharma said that he has been highlighting the issue to adopt necessary measures to upgrade the capacity of Kalakote transmission station in order to deal with the crisis due to inordinate delay in the construction of grid station at Siot. However, no concrete step was taken in this regard as a result the overloading on the 20 MGA station at Kalakote is leading to unprecedented scheduled and unscheduled power cuts. He sought the intervention of Chief Minister to take some short term measures immediately as the people of the area are suffering a lot and getting agitated.
