| Tehsil Legal Services Committee organizes Legal awareness camp | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
UDHAMPUR, May 28:
The Tehsil Legal Services Committee (TLSC), Udhampur in collaboration with District Legal Service Authority (DLSA), Udhampur organized a Legal awareness camp at village Mir in block Pancheri of Udhampur yesterday. The camp was attended by large number of people drawn from surrounding areas including Panches and Sarpanches. The participants were acquitted about the rights of weak and down trodden under the Legal Service Authority and also about the rights of women and children under various laws. They were also apprised about their rights under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Gurantee Scheme and the obligations of the government functionaries under the said Act. Chairman District Legal Services Authority, Ashok Kumar Sharma advised the participants to take maximum benefits of various social schemes launched by the government. Chairman Tehsil Legal Services Committee, Mohinder Kumar Sharma informed that the public that the Tehsil Legal Services Committee, Udhampur shall shortly open Legal Aid Clinics in all the panchayats of the tehsil for legal assistance to the public at door steps.On the occasion, the programme was attended by Advocate Sawtantar Dev Kotwal, Advocate Sanjeet Kumar, staff of DLSA and TLSC and officers of various departments of block Pancheri.
