Natrang presents ‘Jashen-e-Bhadarwah’ in Bhadarwah Festival-2011

BHADARWAH, May 28: ‘Jashen-e-Bhadarwah’ a mega cultural show featuring 300 artists presented was presented by Natrang on the inaugural day of Bhadarwah Festival-2011. Organized by Bhadarwah Development Authority, this mega show of International class was conceived, designed and directed by Balwant Thakur. Nawang Ringzin Jora, Minister for Tourism and Culture was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Bhadarwah witnessed this kind of world class performance on a three tier stage exclusively designed for the show for the first time which featured the rarest cultural and ethnic traditions of Bhadarwahi culture and life. Balwant Thakur , Director of world repute designed this presentation after thorough cultural survey of Bhadarwah and brilliantly showcased Bhadarwahi Marriage, Delhi performances, farming songs, Kailash Yatra, and a dramatic sequence highlighting the story behind famous Mela Patt which is organized in Bhadarwah every year since the 1526. The Mega show also attempted to show the cultural diversity of the state of Jammu & Kashmir featuring Kashmiri, Dogri, Ladakhi, Gojari, Pahari, Punjabi, Paddri, and Bhadarwahi cultural traditions.
The last sequence of the performance, glorifying the unity in diversity impressed everyone in the audience which featured 300 artists on stage. This power packed musical extravanga was supported by high power digital sound system which thrilled everyone to tab with the performances.
Reflecting on the presentation a foreign tourist who was mesmerized by the performance and enjoyed it to the fullest said that such a kind of International class showcasing of culture will add altogether a new color to the picturesque Bhadarwah and such events will make this place the ultimate tourist destination.
Natrang Director Balwant Thakur while sharing his experience about the holding of this mega event appreciated DDC Doda Farooq Ahmed Khan, Director Tourism Robin S. Mehta and CEO, Bhadarwah Development Authority Kalyan Singh for extending full cooperation and support for making this a big success.
