TNWS organises police-public meet

JAMMU, May 29:

Trikuta Nagar Welfare Society – Khow Wali Gali Sector No: 1, today organised a police-public meet at Ward No 53, Trikuta Nagar.
A galaxy of persons from different political, religious, social and trade organizations, Senior Citizens, Youth and women participated in the meet.
The meeting was chaired by the Minister Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Raman Bhalla, SP South Rajeshwar Singh, SDPO Jammu East Mukesh Kakkar ,SHO Trikuta Nagar SS Jasrotia and Vinod Mahajan –Member J&K State Pahari Advisory Board. More than 500 persons attended the meeting and promised cooperation to the police in maintaining law and order in Trikuta Nagar area.
Speaking on the occasion Revenue Minister Raman Bhalla appealed the general public to maintain peace at all costs as it is imperative for the development and other normal activities. He appealed the public not to fall prey to the machinations of forces inimical to peace.
SP South Rajeshwar Singh, SDPO Jammu East Mukesh Kakkar also appealed the public of Trikuta Nagar to help police in maintaining peace and tranquillity in the area and provide inputs regarding the nefarious designs of anti-national and anti-social elements so that threats are neutralized well in time.
Nitish Mahajan (Sr Youth Congress leader) who organised this meet assured the police officers that fullest possible cooperation will be extended for establishing a crime and violence free society and peace committees would be strengthened. The other issues which were highlighted at the meet included to check the menace of drugs, liquor amongst the youth, Security of Morning Walkers, Safety of Old Age People.
Police-Public meet was attended by large number of woman’s and senior citizens of the Trikuta Nagar Area.
Shoib Nabi Lone -Pradesh Youth Congress President was Guest of Honour of the meeting, who appreciated the efforts of Nitish Mahajan for organising such a meet.
