World No Tobacco Day on May 31

UDHAMPUR, MAY 29 - To observe World No Tabacco Day, the Drug and Food Control Organization J&K, in collaboration with Department of Information and Public Relations J&K Government, is going to organize an awareness programme and symposium on the ill effects of use of tobacco on May 31, 2011 in the premises of Government High School Mand district Udhampur .
The students of different educational institution would participate in the symposium to express their views on the ill effects of use of tobacco. The other highlight of the programme would be a specially designed folk cultural show to be presented by the folk artists in local dialect through different forms of folk theatre .
The main aim of the programme is to spread the message about the harmful effects of use of tobacco in the society. The Drug and Food Control Department would organize more such programmes in different parts of the district for the welfare of the common masses.
