HRW complain of insanitation | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, May 29: J&K Human Rights Watch under the chairman BLKapoor held a meeting to take stock of problems, difficulties being faced by the people of Janipur Housing Colony and its adjoining localities due to insanitary condition as there is no arrangement of sanitation. The meeting revealed that lanes and drains are not swept properly and the people have been suffering badly. The drains have been blocked and the garbage dumped resulting insanitation and causing spreading of terrible diseases, moreover the main drains have been mostly converted into parking of the vehicles which is troublesome at the time of heavy rains and the dirt, stool etc. flows towards the doors of the inhabitants of Janipur Housing Colony near the state head quarter of Human Rights Watch. Besides this, the parks allotted in several areas of the colony have not been maintained yet and these parks are used for dumping garbage etc. which is a matter of high concern the muncipal authorities should give heed towards, so that the people may get rid of problems and saved from the diseases. B L Kapoor appealed Muncipal Commissioner to intervene personally into the problems on top priority bases.
