Free medical camp for handicapped children held

JAMMU, May 29: A free dental check-up camp was organized today for the physically challenged children of JRC Home for Handicapped, Udheywala here by a group of local dental Surgeons under `Zero Tooth Decay’ campaign.
Over 60 children were checked –up for various dental problems including tooth decay, cavities, gingivitis, abrasion and foul smell.
The children were educated about the importance of oral hygiene and were advised to
brush their teeth twice a day. The children having dental problems shall be attended by
dentists at their clinics and given free treatment including extraction and filling.
The dental surgeons, who rendered their free services in the camp included Dr. Iqbal Singh, Dr. Manish Talwar, Dr. Rakesh Raina and Dr. Satinder Singh.
Mrs. Urmila Bambroo was coordinator of the camp. Meanwhile, president, PC Kapoor and secretary, J Chhatrapal thanked the doctors and the coordinator for making the camp a success.
