Amar Singh Club wins by 196 runs | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, May 29: Brilliant half centuries from Abid Baba, Asif Rasool and Aqib today guided Amar Singh Cricket Club to a big 196 runs win over City Reds in the ongoing 3rd Molvi Masood Cricket Tournament at Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium. Earlier, batting first, after winning the toss, Amar Singh Club posted a challenging total of 279 runs for the loss of four wickets in the stipulated 40 overs. Abid Baba made 60 runs while Asif Rasool and Aqib played fine innings of 70 runs each. Showkat also added valuable 40 runs to team total. From City Reds, Riyaz and Syed Irshad shared apiece each. Later, chasing the mammoth total target, City Reds could not withstand the pressure mounted by Amar Singh bowlers and lost all their wickets for 83 runs in 23 overs. Feroz took four wickets while Parveez Rasool and Abid Salam clinched three each from Amar Singh Club. This tournament is being organized by Kashmir wing of the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA).
