| Politics taking toll of CU | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT

In India, political interference in every field is a very common thing, but the politics bickering in academics has taken toll of the Central University in Jammu. There is undue delay in the establishment of the University and the reasons are better known to those at helm. There is no development in this ambitious project, as it is surrounded by undue controversies for one reason or the other. Politics is being played on this important issue which is lingering the establishment of the Central University in Jammu.

There is still no positive development in this grand project. From its very beginning, the issue got stalled into a major controversy. Though it is clear that there is no major issue involved in all this, but because of the politics being played on this important issue, this project is a non-starter. Earlier the controversy was on some other issue and the base of controversy was only changed later. It is positive development so, this issue should be given due attention and solved at the earliest.

Central University in Jammu, still is on papers only. At least the politicians should abstain from playing politics in academics, but due to the political interference a grand project is being delayed and the students are suffering. The Central University is a positive development and despite of creating politics over this issue, the people should fight united for the early establishment of the university. The Central University in Kashmir is functional and it is the second session of the university in Kashmir, but mired in controversies, the Central University in Jammu is still a non-starter .

Central University is a positive development and this university should be established in Jammu at the earliest. Already due to undue politics, the project has been delayed. Jammu region has faced discrimination in many fronts and now it is the education sector. In reality there is no issue but the political interference has resulted in the delay of the establishment of the Central University in Jammu. If the Central University will start the students will be benefitted to a great extent, so there should be no further delay in the establishment of the Central University.
