JKNTUF for settlement of employees’ issues | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, May 29: Jammu and Kashmir National Trade Union Front (JKNTUF) has urged the state government to settle the long pending demands of government employees and workers. Talking to the media persons here, JKNTUF president Mohammad Gafoor Dar said the front held a meeting of its state executive body at Jammu headquarters and decided to gear-up organizational activities in Kashmir Valley because the Civil Secretariat has shifted to Srinagar. He announced that the front would organize district level conventions, mass meetings of front and its affiliated union and association in all ten district of Kashmir Province. He also highlighted the main demands of the employees, including regularization of daily rated workers engaged before and after 1994, change of designation of helpers as per the job performed by them particularly in irrigation and social forestry department, conversion of seven years temporary period of RET & EVS for benefits of promotions and their immediate regularization, release of sixth pay commission arrears in two installments and immediate release of promotion list of anganwari workers. He warned the government not to test the patience of the employees and said they would be left with no alternative except to intensify the agitation programme.
