| Controller, Legal Metrology convenes meeting | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 30:
Commissioner/Secretary, CADP, who is also controller, Legal Metrology, Pardeep Gupta convened a review meeting of the district officers of Legal Metrology Jammu province.
The meeting reviewed the progress of each district and directed the officers to put added efforts for achieving the targets for the financial year 2011-12.
The meeting presented the physical and financial achievements of the last financial year.
The department has generated a revenue of Rs 70 lakh on account of verification fee besides Rs 17 lakh have has been realized as composition money from the defaulters.
Accordingly, targets of Rs.1.2 crore on a/c of verification fee for the financial year 2011-12 in respect of Jammu province are fixed. The officers present in the meeting also put forth various problems and sought an immediate redressal for the same.
