RBG offers scholarships to meritorious students | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 30: Rayat-Bahra Group of Institutes has extended helping hand towards the meritorious, deserving and needy students offering a large number of scholarships and concessions. Chairman of the group, Gurvinder Singh Bahra said that all the concessions are on the tuition fees and would be awarded to students fulfilling conditions in qualifying exams. All the scholarships are applicable for students securing fixed marks or more. “Besides this we will not charge any tuition fee form student who’s both parents are not alive. 50% concession each would be given to students whose father is not alive as well as sibling of a student studying in same institute. The physically challenged and disabled student would be charged just 25% of tuition fee,” he said. Students securing 75% in entry-level engineering and technology M Tech and GATE qualified too would get 25% concession. Students from AIEEE, seeking admission in B Tech, from first to 20000 ranks would be awarded concession of 75%, between 20001 – 40000 would be given 50% concession and between 40001 – 50000 would be given 25% concession. On the basis of 90% and above in qualifying exam students would be awarded 50% concession. Similarly, for the diploma engineering students, seeking admission in J E T, those ranked from 1 – 250 rank would get 75% relaxation, from rank between 251 – 500 would get 50% relaxation and those ranked between 501 – 1000 would get 25% relaxation. Those securing 85% marks would be given 50% concession and other securing 75% marks would get 25% concession. In the pre-engineering +1 non-medical, students securing 85% marks will get 50% concession and those securing 75% marks will get 25% concession. In the management MBA and MCA sections, students securing 85% marks will get 50% concession and 75% marks will get 25% concession. Similarly, for BBA and BCA courses, students securing 85% marks will get 50% concession, while those securing 75% marks will get 25% concession. In the pharmaceutical sciences wing, M. Pharma aspirants securing 75% marks and above as well as GPAT qualified candidates will get 25% concession. B Pharma aspirants securing 85% marks will get 50% concession and those securing 75% marks will get 25% concession. D. Pharma aspirants securing 85% marks will be given 50% off and those securing 75% marks will be given 25% concession. In the hospitality and tourism wing, for all courses, students securing 85% marks would be given 50% concession and those securing 75% would be given 25% concession. In educational technologies, aspirants for the M. Ed ranked between 1-10 (on basis of state entrance test rank) would be given 50% relaxation and students ranking between 11-30 will be given 25% concession. In the legal studies section, aspirants of B.A. LL.B securing 85% marks would be given 50% concession and those securing 75% marks would be awarded 25% concession. In dental sciences, for B. Sc Nursing, students securing 85% marks will be given 50% concession and those securing 75% marks will be given 25% concession. For the B. Sc Nursing program students, aspirants securing 85% marks will be awarded 50% concession and those securing 75% would be given 25% concession. A level certificate holders in sports would be considered for 50% concession, while those with B certificates would be considered for 25% concession. Concessions will be valid for a semester only. In case the student scores marks/ position as stated above in both semesters/ annual examination, concession will be valid for one year and shall be adjusted along with tuition fee of next semester /year of the respected class. However, in case of final year students, the concession shall be adjusted in the tuition fee of the last semester only.
