| Masood XI wins by 7 wkts in Doda cricket | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 30: A good team effort today helped Masood XI make it a seven-wicket win over Prem Nagar XI in the ongoing District Doda Cricket Tournament, organised by Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) at PG College ground, Bhaderwah.
Earlier, batting first, after winning the toss, Prem Nagar bowled out for a small total of 79 runs in 17 overs of the 30 overs match, which, in reply, Masood XI chased in mere 9.2 overs making 81 runs.
Shariq and Zulfiqar were main scorers from Prem Nagar with 15 and 14 runs respectively. From Masood XI, Shafqat Baba and Shabir Ahmed clinched three wickets each.
Later, Masood XI overhauled the opponent total rather easily making 81 runs in 9.2 overs for the loss of three wickets. Sohab Mughal and Raja Ali Mughal played unbeaten innings of 23 (off 12 balls, 2x4, 2x6) and 21 (off 13 balls, 2x4, 1x6) respectively. Masqoor claimed the only wicket lost by Masood XI.
For his crucial bowling spell, Shafqat Baba was declared man of the match.
