Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 30: Kuldeep Kumar Rao, state general Secretary, J&K Milchar Front urges the common man of the state to awaken from decades of slumber and stand united to fight against the corrupt politicians and bureaucrats whose corrupt practices have created all the problems confronting the state today.
He said, “The major problem being faced by us today is militancy, the main cause of which is the callous attitude of politicians towards the problems of common man. Funds amounting to hundreds of billions that were provided by the centre have mostly been utilized to swell the purses of these leaders. The deserving youth thus are being neglected in respect of their education and employment and took the path of militancy”.
In election, mandate is given to only those who spent lacs and even crores of rupees as party fund and later they try to collect, ten times the spent amount.
He says, “Every politician, irrespective of the fact to which party he belongs is corrupt, there is no one to check them. Vigilance commission works under the pressure of these high ups and the public has never seen any action against these big fishes. The commission has been targeting only Patwaries and clerks. The other wing which could prove a deterrent is judiciary but the judiciary itself is now knee deep in corruption which even Chief Justice of India has acknowledged”.
The only hope of redemption is the awakening in the common masses, he said.
Rising above narrow conflicts of caste & creed, they should unitedly fight against this all pervasive corruption.
“Like Carl Marx whose slogan was “ Labourers of the world unite ! You will lose nothing but your chains”, we should get united and think over it.
“Let those honest and energetic people who belong to no main political party be elected as our representatives, who neither spend corers to became M.L.A’s and M.P’s”, he says.
He said that the public should think rationally and give chances to such people at least for one term and if the public displays keenness of vision, they will find such people in every constituency right from Lakhanpur to last corner of Kashmir valley. Only government by such representative can be expected to deliver justice and good governance.
