| Corruption charges framed against JE RDD | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, May-30 (JNF):- Anticorruption Judge AK Koul today framed
corruption charges against then Junior Engineer RDD Khursheed Ahmed
who was caught red-handed by the VOJ.
According to the VOJ case that on August 11, 2010 Khursheed
Ahmed while being posted as JE in RDD Thanamandi Rajouri abused
official position and demanded and illegal gratification of Rs 5000/-
from the complainant for making payments of the works executed by him.
A case was registered by the VOJ and laid a trap and caught red-handed
Kursheed Ahmed JE and recovered the money from his possession, a case
u/s 5(1) (d) of PC Act 2006 and section 161 RPC. After completion of
investigation challan was presented the Court.
Today the Court after hearing Adv KS Charak appearing for
the JE whereas Senior PO Rohit Gupta appeared for the VOJ framed
corruption charges against accused and fixed July 1, 2011 for hearing
of the case. JNF
