| MUF, SS demand food, shelter for Gool migrants | | | JAMMU, NOV 21 Muslim Unity Forum (MUF) Jammu and Sangram Sena (SS) have strongly criticized the state government and the district administration Doda for their failure to provide protection to the Gujjar families from Gool, who had been under constant threat from the militants, forcing them to migrate to Jammu. In a joint statement, the President of the Forum Ghulam Rasool Asghar and General Secretary Akram Ahmed Khan claimed that following threats by the militants and subsequent burning of their houses, eight Gujjar families from Gool of Udhampur district have migrated to Jammu. They alleged that following failure of the district administration Doda and Udhampur to provide shelter or food to these families at Ramban, all the 45 members of eight families have migrated to Jammu a few days back and are spending their nights on road side. The Forum leaders have urged the Chief Minister and other senior divisional functionaries to provide shelter, food and clothing to these Gujjar migrants at par with other migrants immediately otherwise the Forum and other like minded organizations would come to the streets in support of the migrant Gujjar families. Sagram Sena President Ram Rattan Raina while expressing serious concern over the migration of Gujjar families has impressed upon the Government to provide all possible help to the poor families who were forced to leave their homes in the wake of militant threats.
