| Rajesh & Lohit elected president , Secy of Udhamur Bar | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT

Advocate Rajesh Gupta was elected as president while Lohit Sharma as Secteray of the Bar Association Udhampur held late in the evening on Monday . Gupta , who is counsel for insurance companies , was elected as bar head by defeating his contenders Gulshan Singh Shan . Rajesh Gupta secured 51 votes out of total 88 votes polled for the post of the president while Gulshan Shan secured 37 votes. Advocate Lohit Sharma was elected as general secretary with 55 votes defeating his nearest rival Advocate Ved Sharma who secured 33 votes Senior Advocate Jarnail Singh , who was Returning Officer, administered oath to newly elected president and secy at Bar office . Soon after the declaration of the results, the newly elected office bearers of the Bar Association Udhampur were profusely garlanded by their supporters and others amidst cheers and jubiliation. Newly elected president and secy thanked all the members for giving them chance to work and assured them that they will work for the betterment of association in future with the cooperation of all the members .
