| Shafi Uri for Indo-Pak friendship | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar, May 31 (KNS): Senior National Conference leader and Rajhya Sabha Member, Mohammad Shafi Uri, Tuesday appealed India and Pakistan to take steps to open cross LoC roads between two Kashmiris without any restrictions.
Pointing to the cross border trade, he said, “While the trade has minimized the gap between two parts of Kashmir, more steps need to be taken to develop the confidence and trade across the LoC.”
Appreciating the on-going Indo-Pak dialogue process he said that the two countries were trying to bridge trust deficits. Stressing that the two countries should be sincere to each other, he wished mutual friendship between India and Pakistan.
Quoting NC founder, Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah, he said, “Strong Pakistan is the essence of India”.
